Armstrong Ceilings win a
‘Gold’ Green Apple Award
for Environmental Best Practice |

Armstrong competed against more than 500 other nominations and received the award under the title of 'Recycling Ceilings'
in the Building and Construction Products category.
The Green Apple Awards began in 1994 and have become established as the country’s major recognition for environmental endeavour
among companies, councils, communities and countries. |

| The judges commented, “Globally, the company has recycled more than eight million square metres of ceiling tiles. By my reckoning
that’s about the same area as 1,000 Wembley football pitches, and that equates to saving 40,000 tonnes of construction waste,
or 18 million kilograms less greenhouse gas emissions – the same as driving 149 million miles in a car”. |
